Creative Energy: what is the story you’re believing in this moment?
Too many of us silence ourselves because we’re afraid of the fire within our own stories.
We’re afraid that once unleashed, there will be no controlling it. Flames will rage and things will burn to ash around us, leaving nothing in their wake. There is truth to this: our stories have the ability to burn what is in the way of our purpose.
But first, we have to trust the validity of our experience.
And so the question for this week is this: what is the story you’re believing in this moment? To go even deeper: how might this story be lying to you?
We’re entering into the Narrative gate in Human Design today, which means this week we’re reckoning with our stories and allowing the ones that need to be told the space to expand into their potential. It also means we’re reckoning with the way our programming has prevented us from believing our stories matter.
Essentially, this week we’re working with the energy of how we’ve bought into the lies of the stories told to us about ourselves vs believing the stories we know are inherent to our flesh and bone.
When I was pulling cards for this week, I pulled four: The Moon, Ace of Wands, Page of Pentacles and Ten of Pentacles.
Very earthy energy with the combustible fire of Wands.
The Moon is perfect here. A huge piece of tapping into our intuitive gifts is allowing ourselves to be honest with what we see. To work with this energy this week, think about the ways in which you’ve silenced yourself. Think about the moments you’ve held back instead of spoken up when you know you had something to say. Think of how this feels in your body — the tension in your throat and the knowing burning in your veins. The moon is about allowing her illuminating rays to show us what’s been hidden — and using our intuition to make out the shape of what’s found.
Anything can look scary within the shadows of the night. But it’s our intuition that points us in the direction of safety. That’s here too: the reminder that whatever story is pulsing in us to get out, there is safety waiting for it to bloom on the other side.
Once you tap into this energy, what comes next is the catalyst of the Ace of Wands. This energy is transformative. And this makes sense, yes? Because once you speak — once the story begins to form on your lips and you begin to share the thing — nothing is the same. You’ve dropped seeds into the soil around you and immediately begin to see the roots form beneath you. This card is also an encouragement: do not delay. This isn’t a week to be soft with sharing. The story burning within your bones is the one you must get out, even if it’s only for you. You cannot let it stay in your bones any longer.
You are ready. This is what the Page of Pentacles says — you are ready. You’ve finally allowed yourself to say the words you’ve been meaning to say or sit down and begin creating the work you’re supposed to create and this card is saying that yes, something must be birthed in this moment. It’s a confirmation. A recognition.
And the Ten of Pentacles points to the ways in which this moment of strength and bravery will loosen chains and break you free from karmic cycles. Because once you understand the ways in which you’ve been buying into lies fed to you by someone else, you realize just how ill-fitting that story is, and how expansive you feel when you’re wandering through the corridors of your own intuition and magic.
